**SIGN-UPS FOR CHILE BEGINS NOW, FALL STEELHEAD ALSO!**
Out this week with John Wilhelm on the Lower Sac proved very productive. John landed as many as 4 trout over 4lbs. including this beauty that might of been 5lbs! Great trip John can't wait to see you in Chile this winter... jt
We passed under the new Turtle Bay Bridge that was designed to act as a bridge and a sun dial. Located in downtown Redding, the bridge floor is made of glass, so you can see the salmon as they make their annual return to spawn and take up residency in the city of Redding.
John hooked into another fish after we passed the bridge and it looked to be the makings of another great day on the Lower Sac!
Checks in the mail, fish is in the net!
We've been meeting our customers at 10:30 am and floating until 8:30 pm. The caddis hatch has been starting later, and in the evening the fish start rising and fishing becomes very active using caddis patterns.
What a day John had on the Lower Sac this past week! We were lucky that day, it was only 87 degrees which made things comfortable fun!
And yet another one! John hooked into another fish just before the Cypress bridge. John sealed his fate there, and I'm proud to announce, JOHN WILHELM YOU'RE MY SIZZLER OF THE WEEK AWARD WINNER! CONGRATULATIONS SIZZLER!
John's dog Donald, enjoyed his trip in the drift boat too, and wanted me to thank John for bringing him along! Donald the Dog,
you're pretty cool!
The next day, I guided Bob on the Trinity and he caught over 18 1/2 lbers and fished to a few adults without success. I guess it's still early for the adults, but you can sure see them in there. We fished until 4 pm and headed to the Upper Sac for more dry action....JT
The Lower Sac has really been producing large trout catches, give us a call if you would like to be in pictures!! Jack Trout 530-926-4540 Thanks.
Another "happy camper!!"
This was one of my best days out on the Lower Sac, with two double hook ups and over 25 trout boated, I owe it all to the Lower Sac and the teachings of Head guide Mike Hibbard, who showed me where the fish are at any given river level.
Thanks Mike you're a hell of a hand!! JT
The Trinity is going to be hot for Steelhead this Fall, so is the Klamath, hope to see you this Fall with a bent rod and a jumping Steelie!!
As a fawn watched from behind some willows, there was a feeling of peace and serenity. The sounds of the river hitting rocks from the basement of time, and birds of every specie flying over head, while we waited for the next trout
to hit. Yes, I you could say we live in a special place. With fresh air, clean water and a thriving habitat.. there's no place like home, there's no place like home, there's no place like.... THE NORTH STATE!!! TAKE CARE EVERYONE! MANY RIVERS TO YOU, JACK TROUT
