**4TH OF JULY PARADE AND FIREWORKS OVER LAKE SISKIYOU FALL STEELHEAD BOOKINGS START NOW**
 Mt Shasta High Desert:
Things are really starting to heat up here as we head into the best part of the season! That's right Sizzlers the hatches are going off at times all day on the Klamath, McCloud, Pit and Upper Sac. Mike Hibbard, has been reporting excellent catch days on the Lower Sac, while we all wait for July, when the Trinity is due to be lowered.
Dave Wallace:
Out in the raft for the final trip was a very memorable experience. Dave Wallace caught as many 5 trout over 3 lbs. and this 4 to 5 lb chucker that took us for a ride! Shasta sure was impressed! Dave Wallace, you're my SIZZLER OF THE WEEK AWARD WINNER!! CONGRATULATIONS SIZZLER. jt
McCloud Wild Flowers:
Over on the McCloud River the Tiger Lillies are starting to show their colors..... The river fishing is great and the hatches stay late.

Jerry Hess enjoyed his day out on the McCloud and this nice Brown Trout only complimented the scenic beauty and the quality fishing experience.
Steve:
The stone flys came off at 3pm and Steve caught three on big dry flys and got a chuckle out of it!
USAC JH:
The next day we headed for the Upper Sac and the fishing was even better. We started off with Lt. Cahills size 16 and caught a bunch, then changed to a Stone Fly dropper and caught some more! All in all, it was a perfect two days, thanks guys! jt
Mad Hannans:
This is the Mad Hannan Band playing at the Konocti Harbor Resort on June 12th. Jerry Hannan, the lead singer, in the middle has been a great friend for over 14 years and invited me as a guest to see them warm up for Huey Lewis and the News (who happen to be fans of the Mad Hannans!) I was so excited to see the band up there, this was the continuance of great things to come, and the fans in the crowd embraced their new sounds, as loads of CD's were sold during and after the show! Jerry's playing Salt Lake City Next, CD's can be purchased at www.jerryhannan.com. Wow! Jerry sure has come a long way since the days at Volpi's in Petaluma singing Anna May! Remember this name, cause these guys are getting airtime now on KFOG.
Stage Babes:
Back stage life was great! I hung out with friends of the band and Michele, seen left, who is an 18 year old Fee-Nom on the violin. Later, I was in the trailer with the band when Huey Lewis comes walking in to greet Jerry and talk about things in Marin. Huey was a cool dude, and I learned later that he fly fishes!! I tripped on all the times I heard and saw him in concert in the 80's. I think I saw him four times in 2 years at Lawlor Event Center in Reno, and once at the Concord Pavilion. He hadn't changed a bit, and was as down to earth as one would think after writing a song like, "The Power Of Love." I admit it, I bought into that corporate rock too Sizzlers!!! Huey was awesome and Jerry was inspiring! Thanks Guys, jt
Jerry Berry:
World meet Jerry Hannan, Jerry, meet the world... You can catch the Mad Hannans around Marin or go on their web site for dates. What kind of music you ask? Like, rock n roll satire with an elevated John Dylan sound that meets Buffalo Springfield on a warm sunny day, and meanwhile, John Prine, and Tom Petty come to visit. That's just a start to this unique sound that swept Marin, and now is embarking on a national tour! I'm proud of you guys and gals, but most of all I'm proud of Jerry Hannan, Shawn his brother and their awesome agent Dana, who booked the performance at Konocti Harbor with Huey Lewis. Way to go Sizzlers!! jt I might also mention the band has played in one Sean Penn Movie and a movie called, "Life According to Dick" with Sara Jessica Parker. Maybe that was their break.... (haha!)

Huey Lewis and the News:
After the Mad Hannans stole the crowd, Huey came on and entertained all of us. I had total access and took photos from different parts of the stage. The place was at 98% occupancy and I soon thought how wouldn't forget my experience away from the canyons of the Siskiyous. Huey and Sax player Johnny Cola, said they'd be up this year to fish and were quite fond of my neck of the woods!! So we're going to start the Huey Lewis and the News search! We can't wait for our day to guide you and the band, we hope you see you this season !!! I really enjoyed meeting you guys!! LETS GO FISHING!!!!
