INTL SPORTSMAN SHOW SAN MATEO WED TO SUNDAY Mt Shasta Halo Jan 2004: I took this shot on January 25th right before the storm hit the next day. It's a Mt Shasta Phenomenon that when a Lenticular cloud appears hovering over the dormant volcano, 90% of the time the area receives some kind of storm or precipitation. The mountain creates it's own storms by swirling winds that actually attract these kinds of that clouds that eventually brew up a Mt Shasta Winter, like the one we're experiencing right now! In the course of life, we run across many mysteries, the one that looms over the peaks of Mt Shasta can only be answered by Mother Nature as She looks over all of us and warns us, another storm is coming and that is a miracle of life. Klamath Rainbow Jan 2004: Back on the Klamath the rainbow was out and the fishing was hot! I used my fancy Siskiyou County polarized filter on my camera to really expose the rainbow and make it apear in this picture. (I placed my Maui Jim Sunglasses over the lens)jt Rich catching another one!: Here's Rich Artusy out again enjoying himself on the Klamath River. Fishing continues to be great as the river flows remain perfect for nymphing. Rich A Holding trout: Nice fish Rich! Rich signs up every year with Brad Best for the Upper Sacramento Rafting Trip. This year I think I will be floating the Upper Sac from May 15th to June 30th. Gordon's big trout Lower Sac Jan 2004: I always laugh when somebody hooks a big Rainbow Trout near the Cypress Overpass in Redding, California. The lower Sac is very low right now at 5000 CFS. it's a great time to wade in and try your luck from shore! Gordon here perferred fishing from the boat and was happy to land his first fish ever on a fly rod. Eric's Steely: The next day I took Gordon and his friend Eric to the Klamath River for a little Steelhead action. Eric is from France oringally, then moved to Sweden and now resides near Los Altos. What a great day I had listening to Eric say, "wee wee!" Everytime Gordon got a hit from a fish on his fly. Eric too enjoyed his first Steelhead on a fly rod. Jan 24th I 5 Open and clear: Jan 22nd Interstate 5 is clear and open! John Swain fighting Steely: I was happy to receive a call from an old past customer Named, John Swain. He's a really character to be out with on the Klamath River along with his friend from Reno Nevada, Kenny. He enjoyed bringing in this nice Steelhead near R Ranch.
