Holiday Gift Certificates * ~ * CHILE 2004 Mt Shasta from Hornbrook Nov 24th 2003: Mt Shasta area is famous for its Winter sunsets. This is one of the reasons I enjoy the drive back from the Klamath River after guiding all day. The views while driving on Ager Road north is a lesson both in scenic high desert beauty as well as geology. I like all the wild animals I see out in the valleys and meadows. This picture is almost surreal, Mt Shasta is truly a spectacle. It's raining hard now, the kind of rain that drives fish up rivers, fills reservoirs and brings promise to the coming New Year! jt Rich on the Lower Sac: Rich is a local from Lake Head who fished with me on the Upper Sac raft trip in May. He and his best friend, Brad Best, are now joining me on the Lower Sac for a day of nymphing tiny flies to catch big Lower Sacramento Rainbow Trout. I like fishing with Brad and Rich. They're two easy going guys who enjoy catching trout and just being out! Lower Sac Rich with trout nov 2003: Rich got in this respectable trout after a short Lower Sac kinda battle. We had 5 hook ups in a short stretch along the riffle edge near the Posse Grounds in downtown Redding! Brian's big Salmon Oct 2003: Back in October guide extraordinaire, Mike Hibbard, got past customer and former SIZZLER OF THE YEAR 2002, Brian Pearce, into this lovely Salmon with the Jay Leno chin. Way to go! Guide Mike Hibbard is SIZZLER OF THE WEEK!!! Take care Brian! Greg and the two dudes from Austrailia: Greg Livingood has been a customer of mine for over 8 years. He brought some friends over from Australia to check out Northern Califronia life and sample the fruits of the mighty Klamath River. Greg, thanks again for putting together another great group! See you in the Spring or even sooner! Scott kissing his girlfriend: Scott felt really attached to this Steelhead he caught on the Klamath River this past week. Scott, careful with that Steelhead, it's spawning season!!! Hope his wife doesn't see this........ Todd Nov 2003: Nice fish Todd!! He seems to do great every trip... Patrick Klamath Nov 2003: Patrick hope you and your brother Stuart and all the Livingood Boys have a great holiday season. Jack Trout and the guides* Chris Dodge Klamath Nov 2003: Every year we donate float trips to the annual Cal Trout Dinner Auction. Chris Dodge and Ken Haupt bidded for this adventure on the Klamath River. Wow, did it pay off for Cal Trout, Chris Dodge and Me! Ken and Chris had an excellent adventure! Klamath Doug Parks Nov 2003: Doug and his brother Don had a memorable day together on the Klamath this past week, defying the weather forecast in search of a Steelhead during Thanksgiving weekend. Klamath 10lber Nov 26th 2003: What a Thanksgiving Prize!! This Steelhead weighed out at 9lbs. on my trusty scaler. Don was really glad he came up to see me for the holiday. Take care Don and Doug. JT Hornbrook Hills Nov 26th 2003: As the sun sets over the hills near a sleepy little community called Hornbrook, a deer falls asleep on a home owners lawn while a dog watches from a window. A neighbor goes outside to escape the heat of the fireplace and grab a breath of fresh mountain air. He stops to hear the sound of the Klamath River as it makes its way to the ocean. He thinks to himself how lucky he is to live in such a special place... and as the fire of the sun melts itself through the hillside only to return through the snow covered hills on the otherside the next day, all is good in Hornbrook, California.....**TAKE CARE EVERYONE, SEE YOU NEXT WEEK FROM NORTHERN CALIFORNIA, JACK TROUT** CHECK OUT NEW UPDATES ON OUR CHILE TRIPS AT JackTrout.com
