"The Ghost is Back!"
Mt Shasta after the 1st storm of November 2003. I hope you all have a great Thanksgiving, and take time to get out and flick a fly and eat some thighs. I'm so glad we got this last storm. The area got a good rain out of it and we are officially out of the fire season. It's been a very successful year compared to previous years in Northern Cal.
I guided a trip around Happy camp last week with Ken Maxwell. We fished this side channel and both thought the same thing: What an absolutely gorgeous section of river. We had great fishing in certain locations near the town of Happy Camp on the Klamath River.

The McCloud River at Chatterdown Creek. This is the last week to fish the McCloud and all tributaries other than the Klamath River, Lower Sac and Trinity which are open and fish great all Winter! I would like to personally thank the Mccloud River, the Upper Sac and the Pit for providing great entertainment for my customers and economic stimulus for me, my guides and my community. Thank you Rivers, It's all about you! You'da man!

Look at this leaper! Judges score 10's on that side flip dismount. Steelhead fishing is off the charts right now. We just got a new batch of the mighty cromers in after this past storm.

Mike Foster landed some nice Steelhead Trout along with his son, Gregg. This one was particularly awesome with its brilliant red cheeks and hydro-dynamic shape. This guy deserves to be set free after the grand journey he has made from the ocean to the Klamath River.jt

Right after the storm ended the Fosters and I were floating along minding our own business when out of nowhere, this obscene sized Steelhead took Gregg's fly and came leapt out of the river at least 6 times showing off his athletic capabilities while keeping Gregg on his toes. Gregg successfully landed this whopper with cheese! (Certainly no 1/4 lber!)

LUNKER!!!!! Way to Go Gregg Foster you're my SIZZLER OF THE WEEK AWARD WINNER!!!!!

This pic is dedicated to Rochelle Goins and her husband who are living back in Virginia. Rochelle is native Siskiyou Countian. Her husband has spent 21 years in the military and is due to retire in 2 years!!! They plan to move back to Siskiyou County and had nothing but nice things to say about the web site. Heck, she even has her sister in Waco, Texas tuning in, and her bro in Russel, Kansas. (All former fellow Siskiyou County residents). Right on Rochelle! We'll be bringing the whole FAM pics from Iron Gate, Klamath and best of all, the Copco Lake area just to help the home sickness. It's people like you that I do this web site for. Take care Sizzlers!
