ÈÄ® OSday, July 23rd, 2002 **SUMMER FUN IS HERE IN MT SHASTA!**

McCloud Pocket Water:

Here we are in the middle of the a great Summer, what a great time to visit your favorite lake, stream or river. This is also a great time of year to hang up the fishing midday and go our on a inter-tube and get wet! I like carrying a snorkle and mask and diving into the river to see what lurks beneath the depths. I've been seeing some really big fish, hope to see you out there! JT

Dad and Son out on the McCloud:

Ladies and Gentlemen, this is David. Hio Petrohue.
Daniel and guide Francisco with a nice trout:
Daniel and guide Francisco holding a nice trout caught on the surface with a Chernoble Ant. After this we ate a great lunch and enjoyed Daniel`s last fishing experience in Chile.
The group climbing Villarricca:
The day we climbed Volcano Villarricca was a special one, you can see me and Uschi Hill of Mt Shasta. We summited the peak in less than 4 hours with no problems.
Looking into Villarricca first time:
Looking into Volcano Villarricca is amazing! The smoke you see is hydro-chloric acid, it won¥t hurt you though just don`t try to breath it in deep. Cover your mouth with your shirt and you should be OK. I always suggest you go with a local guide out of Pucon, I was lucky to go up with Matt and Uschi Hill.
Beautiful Church:
The church Daniel and I saw at Rio Pescador is a beautiful site, one we won`t soon forget!
Jack`s catch in the rio petrohue:
The Rio Petrohue has big McCloud River Rainbows! I was fortunate to spend my last evening of fly fishing hooking into 5 this size. one on drys and the rest on nymphs, I will return here next year for sure.
rio petrohue rainbows:
Very healthy rainbows await you here on the Rio Petrohue!
Orsono and flowers:
So I leave you with another great picture of native flowers, Volcano Orsono and Lago LLanquihue.** Stay tuned Sizzlers as I continue my adventures here in Chile. I will keep showing you pics from the 9th and 10th regions, fishing, climbing and site seeing. Until then, adios amigos, Jack Trout and Ana Maria**
