Hey Sizzlers whats happening out there, sorry for the delay but I`ve been so busy here in Chile enjoying the great food, weather and of course the fly fishing. I`m in the lake district above Coyhaique fishing the many rivers, creeks and lakes the area offers. My customer Daniel Sedergren comes here this next week and I`m excited for this will be his first time in Chile. I might add Uschi and Matt Hill from the town of Mt Shasta will be down also next week. OK to the fishing, I found this Spring Creek and saw trout rising everywhere!! It`s all dry fly here and I spent a warm sunny day catching many Brown Trout.

What could be better than fishing a spring creek where you see trout! There were May Flies everywhere, but most represented were very small May Flies so I used a size 18 Blue Wing Olive and began catching nice trout! It was so peaceful and I thought to myself how great is this!!! With all the crap going on in the world I like to take a few of our elected officials out here and mello them out!

This nice chunky monkey just sipped my dry fly like a nice hot cup of coffee in the morning. What I liked best about this creek was the trout rise all day! If it gets slow you could always use a soft hackle but it`s best to go small.

The trout are not indigenous here all the Brown Trout came from Germany and Scotland and most of the Rainbow Trout came from the McCloud River (my home river) in the Mt Shasta area of Northern California. Many of you have asked me what first got me interested in Chile???? Thats the answer my friends!!!!!

I saw a trout rise on the otherside of the creek I took a cast above her and she bit the trick! These fish are strong for there size and I think they don`t get fished much cause spring creek fish are usually more timid.

This is one of many volcanos in the area! It still smokes and you can climb if you want. Email me for information, on fly fishing, climbing or rafting in Chile. Chile is a safe country, they love North Americans and deserve our tourist dollars!

My Guide Mario say¥s in the Winter you can see the flames luminating at night! This volcano looks like Mt Shasta from the north side of the mountain.

We then headed to this high mountain lake very near Argentine border. We caught many trout striping dragon fly nymph immitations. Every place we journied to we caught trout it was memorable!

Nice 3 to 4lb trout exist in this lake you fish it from shore and boy are the fish strong! The Volcano in the background is a different Volcano than Villarrica, it make a great backdrop.

So thats whats been up! A lot of fun, new places to see and people to meet. I hope all of you can make it down here some day!** RIGHT ON SIZZLERS STAY TUINED AS I PROMISE I WILL REPORT IN 4 OR 5 MORE DAYS FROM FLY FISHING®S FINAL FRONTIER, CHILE!!!**
