Wednesday, January 3rd, 2003**HAPPY NEW YEAR FROM CHILE** Jack and Ana 2 wulff castle:
I would like to wish everyone a happy new year, I'll be bringing you stories for the next two Months from South America. Join us as we visit, Brazil, Argentina, Paraguay and my favorite country on the planet Chile. This shot was taken in front of Wulff Castle in the beautiful city of Vina Del Mar. It's summer here and the temps range from high 70`s to low 80`s perfect for strolling along the beach in search of something new to do with my gal.
Floral Clock 2003 ViÒa del Mar:
Here's Ana Maria standing in front of the floral clock in Vina Del Mar, Chile. This is a magnificient city that's unbelieveable clean, you won't see litter that often and was rated as Chile's safest city. I love it here it`s warm the food is awesome, and it isn`t hard to get around, public transportaion is cheap and easy for the budget traveler.
Beach Scene ViÒa:
We then headed down to the beach to play a little in the sand and relax. It`s always nice to see children enjoying something thats absolutely free, the beach and the sun. Sheryl Crow`s song, "I want to soak up the sun" can be heard quit often as we walk through the different areas.
Beach Friends:
Here's some locals enjoying themselves as they catch a tan! I love the people of Chile there so nice and fun to be around. Reward yourself some year and get down here, you won`t regret it, I've been coming down now for 8 years and every year it`s better!
Ana Maria catching some rays:
Ana Maria catching some rays on a nice hot day! the sounds of waves crashing, sand between your toes what could be better. email me at info@jacktrout.com to get more info....
Ana Maria and Jack at the Restaurant:
The place we have people stay has a wonderful restaurant downstairs with a full choice of fine Chilean Wines as well as delicious traditional parrilla bbq`s. You got to try a pisco sour, that¥s the Chilean version of the margarita, it`s a must in Chile or Argentina!
The Chef!:
This was our chef at the La Chacra and boy could this guy prepare a mean BBQ. There was pork, beef, chicken and lamb on the grill accompanied by great service and smiles. It`s not too late to email me and get down here on one of our great tours, or maybe next year. In any event we had a ball we left the place still talking about the food and great atmosphere we experienced. the owner Roberto Diaz is a master at hosting folks who come to visit.
Asado plate:
Ana Maria say, "dig in jack!"
The hotel and restaurant:
This is a very nice place with comfortable beds and international hospitality, if your planning a trip this Winter, Chile is the place to be. It¥s safe and I`ve never been sick ever down here the food, water and people are the tops.**STAY TUNE FOLKS AS WE HEAD UP THE COAST TO EVEN WARMER WEATHER IN LA SERANA, THIS IS THE SPOT THEY GROW THE BEST LEMONS FOR PISCO SOURS AND THE FRESHES SEAFOOD!!!
