November 5th, 2002 **Humane Society 530 926-6562** Mt Shasta November 2002: Another November comes along and brings us warm weather for the first week. This week the weather man says we should get some rain, I'll wait and see we haven't had a good storm since May! Lets all do a rain dance.... Rich fighting a nice Steely: Here's Rich fighting a nice Steely on a fantastic Fall day on the Klamath River. I don't even need to crank up my heaters I have for real cold weather. It just doesn't get better than this week in guiding! Rich' Nice Steely Nov 2002: Like I said it just doesn't get any better! The Klamath will continue to produce these fine Steelhead as long as the river is fed enough water from iron gate Dam. I guess you could say it's another dam story! Great Steelhead Rich had a great time with you and Jim! JT Chuck with one on!: Lets move down river a little, OK a lot like 70 miles to the Happy Camp stretch of the river. The Steelhead are much more ocean like in appearance and we have a chance to catch a really big one! As we headed down the first bank Chuck seen here from the San Jose Fly Casters Hooks into a nice fighting wild steely! The fight was on little did we know we had an audience watching from shore...... Klamath Jim Carey Dog: Two days in a row we caught Steelhead off this bank and saw this cute little dog. It kinda of reminded me of the dog in the that Jim Carey movie the Mask! He was like a little lucky rabbits foot and was barking up a storm almost fell in the river, this dog was halarious!!!!!!!!! "SIZZLER OF THE WEEK" award winner!! first K9 to ever win it! Klamath Chuck's Beauty 2002: Nice fish Chuck! Fall is a special time on the Klamath River. The scenic beauty is so incredible I hope you can experience it some year. Klamath River 2002 Fred and JT: His partner Fred caught this absolutely lovely 6lb. Steely towards the ladder part of our adventure. When you floating down in these canyons it's like being back in Patagonia, remote and a feeling of total freedom!!! Klamath River wading shot 2002: We wade the river too with some success we seem to do better drifting out of the boat. But it's still fun to get out and stretch the legs. I also like exploring new territory and walking the shore lines. Seeing the steep cliffs of the middle Klamath reach is an amazing undiscovered wonderland. Klamath River Fred's Lunker!: Wow! what a nice Cromer Steely!! This was not an easy Steelhead to get in though I don't know many that are. Way to go Fred! Klamath River they could pull you in!: These fish are so strong they might just pull you in!!**HOPE YOU ENJOYED THIS WEEKS ADVENTURES, I HAD MY BEST WEEK OF GUIDING EVER!!!! SEE YOU NEXT TIME** JACK TROUT
