October 24th, 2002**Humane Society (530)926-6562** Castle Crags with Al Peyser: Castle Crags is a great local place to visit, Did you know that this was the site of the last battle in California where the Trinity Indians used Bow and arrows to fight off the Joaquin Miller and other US Troops using guns. Joaquin Miller later wrote about it and the story became a #1 best selling book in England. He fibbed a little by saying the Indians were Modocs but if you lived in England then, who knew the difference? It just doesn't get better than that, way to go JT Klamath Monica wading the klamath: Monica out and about wading the Klamath down by Happy Camp. The riffles are so perfect for fly fishing and Monica hooked 4 here including one one 3 lbs! and lost one over 6 lbs. oh well the experience is what makes it great! Al and Sudie: These folks came out to visit Mt Shasta from the East Coast. What a romantic shot! The weather has been very warm for this time of year, hopefully it won't last long and we can start our long Winter with lots of snow and rain!!!
