Lets change the views now a little and head up the coast of Chile to a place I have always loved to visit a city called Vina Del Mar. In spanish it means the "vineyard of the sea". This area is so beautiful and the temps are in the high 80's and 90's. Vina is a city that never sleeps, it's a kinda romantic place where lovers can be seen strolling the streets and enjoying the fresh ocean views that only a coastal community possess. Theres always some place to go dancing, some pub to drink at or my favorite, food. This place rocks for great seafood cuisine and just all around wonderful munchout spots! Hey guys bring your girlfriend or wife here, she'll never forget it, you'll thank me later.

This is President Lagos's castle, right above where I¥m staying here in Vina Del Mar. Kinda of a "Camp David" if you know what I mean. So many great sites here and friendly warm people. I plan to go up and take a look up close, yesterday I saw people up in the tower, must be incredible views from there. This is a great place, you got to come here especially January through March the weather is perfect.

This is a street near my hotel, the store there on the corner sells pastries and wonderful breads. I have travelled all through Holland and Denmark and we all know how famous those countries are for their deserts, Chile in my estimations is one notch ahead of them. Chile knows how to make the best deserts in the world. Torts, cakes and deserts you¥ve never tasted or even imagined are waiting for you here. I love this country for their food, and the deserts are just another reason to visit this awesome country. This is the straight scoop the place is safe compared to other South American destinations and the people deserve our support economically through tourism. So get down here Sizzlers before everyone knows about it! JT

I can¥t believe my luck I went to the beach and they were having the Miss Summer contest being filmed live across all of Chile! Wow, for a single guide this place is a site for sore eyes. The Chilean people are so beautiful, and to top it off everywhere you go you here the best music being played from the United States and England. They are always friendly and helpful, of course it always helps if you speak a little Spanish. The atmosphere here is exciting and I have my customers now come and stay a few days here in Vina Del Mar before or after they visit me in Patagonia.

Things get a little too hot on the beach head over to the smoothies hut and choose your weapon. I chose a mixture of melon, coconut cream, pinapple and peaches. A delightful solution to the hot rays absorbed on the beach, what would you choose?

This is miss Summer! or as they say it here Miss Verano. Amazingly enough I chose her too. Maybe I should get out of tours and guiding and judge these contests. Hey guys was I kidding, the girls down here are gorgeous! Keep watching as I bring you more views and the mood of Chile, I will be updating this page everyday until Tuesday the 6th of March so long on daily for the next 4 days. Today I plan to head to Valpraiso, another great Chilean coastal community. I will show you some fine restaraunts and more beach life. No fishing for a while need to change the scene. Thanks for all the emails and accolades, "I LOVE YOU MAN"! your friend always Jack Trout Oh by the way, Miss Verano your my SIZZLER of the week!
