Hey check out this picture taken from my driftboat. You can see a wonderful bridge in the background, maybe you can say it¥s Chile¥s version of the Golden Gate! On this day the temps were in the high 80¥s. One thing about this area of Chile is, that one day it can be in the high 80¥s and the next can be the low 50¥s. When you come down here, dress for the four seasons. Ah, what a great day it was to drift the Rio Simpson.

Here's Charlie drifting his fly in big trout territory. Fishing out of the driftboat makes it easy to have the fly go at the same speed as the current. Even in Chile you have to have a dead free drift. Just like all over the world the better the angler, the better the success, Charlie is a great angler and had many hook ups on his trip in fly fishing¥s final frontier!

Here's the town were based out of, it's called Coihaique. Spelled just like it sounds! You can see how the Andean glaciers came through this area and carved this massive valley. I think the plateau is amazing and from here at night is an incredible view of the lights from the city. The Simpson Canyon can be seen and awesome views and fishing await you here. JT

Some of the days we stop fishing for a great lunch. There are some really fine restaurants here in Chile. On this day we sampled an authentic Chilean course meal with all the guides and clients.

Charlie's field of dreams! "Right on Sizzlers, more stories from Patagonia to come" Stay tuned Jack Trout Over and Out!!!!!
