What a great Fall we've been blessed with! Not alot of rain but who can complain, the Trout, Steelhead and Salmon are now in their prime
and the fishing is red hot all over. You can see the changing Fall colors more and more everyday. This shot on the McCloud River is awesome with all the different colors, you should be here!
Look close you can see the dorsel fin of a large Salmon heading up a creek that comes out of the Iron Gate Fish and Game Hatchery.
Right now thousands of Salmon and Steelhead are making there way up the Klamath drainage to spawn and make way for the future generations. I really enjoy seeing the Salmon jumping around and lurking nearby are Steelhead and Trout that are feeding on their row.
Jim Highby enjoyed fishing the Klamath River and caught many 1/2 pounders on this day. Jim enjoyed his stay in the Mt Shasta area,
he came all the way from Tonopah, Nevada ! Wow thats a long way just to fish, but the scenery also helps!!!!
Last but not least this gorgeous pic of the Eddies Mountain Range
right out my backyard! I love to get up early and go out and stare at this magnificent display of volcanic art. One could travel for years and not reconize all the scenic wonders of Siskiyou County.
This is a very special place on our planet friends, hope to see you out there! Many rivers to You, Jack Trout
