September 15th, 2001 UNITED WE STAND PROUD AMERICA! A Fall kinda scene, McCloud River: What a peaceful scene tailored made for you my friends. Fall is now amongst us here in the Mt Shasta area, the mountain has been getting dustings of snow above the 10,000 foot level. Thats good cause we need the storms to fill up our lakes and reservoirs. Rob here enjoyed his first fly fishing experience on the McCloud River. Covey Cowan Father of the Year!!!: This is the story of a Father that did it right! Let me elaborate, I've been guiding Covey and his son Josh for three years. I started guiding Josh when he was 12 and even back then he was respectful and had a great outlook for a young man. I was impressed then and now that he's 14 Wow! what a good kid. I gotta hand it to you Covey for sharing the best things with your son, and your high value to incourage him to explore and experience the outdoors. Right on Covey Cowan Sizzler Father of the Year Award!!! This kid can fish! Josh and a lunker Steelhead!: Ladies and Gentlemen this is.... Josh! With a nice Klamath River Steelhead. These Steelhead lack no energy in their fight, as we saw yesterday these Steelhead Trout can be down right tenacious. Sometimes they jump and jump and run way down the river. On a fly rod the battle is awesome, when your 14 years old and choose to fish with a small 4wt. rod it can be a lifetime memory. Josh and the Dynamic Dual!: Team Trout! Look at this bright healthy steelhead from the Klamath River!! Thats right, as we head into Fall more and more the Steelhead are lurking. Running as you read this up the river from the ocean. Why you ask? To do their duty for the next generation of wild fighters. Great time again Josh and Covey, Way to go!! Jump'n Jack Trout GO USA!
