Sunday, August 26th, 2001 **BREW FEST WAS A SUCCESS!!** Brew Fest 2001 Climbing Wall Ski Park: Once a year the Ski Park has it's Brew Festival, the weather couldn't of been better, I saw so many Locals enjoying themselves while sampling some of the finest micro brews available on this planet! The selection was awesome, and the variety of different porters, ambers and pilners allows you to really distinquish what kind of beer really suits ones fancy. I like it, once a year I get an opprotunity to be a brew critic. Steelhead Beer has the best lable: The fest was great! the Steelhead beer truck in the background won my award for best lable. I like that Steelhead Trout they use for their logo, I also liked the beer. I got to take home some posters to wall paper my garage with and the Steelhead poster will be most prized. Thanks Steelhead Brew Boys!!!! Eeel River Beer Brew fest 2001: Eel River brew and local Steve sipping a beer when no ones looking. Locals at the brew fest: Lots of Mt Shasta locals enjoying beer and a little water. I might also add the brew fest offers wine and that new hard lemon, so if your not fond of beer you can go this route, Just have someone else drive. On a hot day I find that the hard lemon goes down way too easy. Mountain Guides take over Brew Fest!: This is a great story! Stiles there in the middle and Nicole on the end met at the brew fest 3 years ago and were married earlier this year. What a great anniversary present every year to come back to this party and celebrate. There was a great atmosphere yesterday that can only be discribed as living the Shasta Dream, the Shasta reality is always present to all that embraced it's magic! Ragge Angels: the Ragge Angels played some awesome tunes yesterday and filled the air with the pleasant sounds of ragge, a favorite amoung locals here. Best Beer award goes to; 1. Etna Ale 2. Lost Coast, Amber Alley Cat, 3. Rogue, Yellow Snow Ale, 4. Steelhead Ale of course this is based on my own taste buds, so who really cares. Lets give a big hand to the Mt Shasta Ski Park and all the brewers for putting on this wonderful event!! I'm writing this kinda slow today... Jack Trout
