Well, as the season winds down on my Upper Sacramento Raft Trips, I'll now head over and do the majority of my guiding on the Klamath and McCloud Rivers. Though I do love my rafting trips because of the total experience it offers my customers to see 9 miles of the Upper Sac and enable them to practically fish where no one else has journied. I will reflect on this past month and all the raft trips down the Upper Sac. The big fish, some we caught, some we lost, and some we just laughed about. I can't wait for next May to float the river again and see things that most people have never seen. Brad Best here enjoyed this healthy Rainbow Trout caught near McCardle Flats. Now the river has become too low to float and the 2002 season will live on next year in 2003 when the adventures will continue. Jack Trout

The raft reminds me of a Mercedes cruising down the river, allowing us to stop or access the best riffles along the Upper Sac. Imagine a time when the Steelhead and Salmon were running up the river. A time before Shasta Dam, when the Wintun Indians lived along it's banks. What would they think to see us floating down the river in this huge raft?

Here's Shasta and Todd fishing out of the raft. Todd caught a nice one and Shasta helped release it! I want to congradulate Todd and wish him success in his marriage, he's getting married on June 8th!~ Good luck Todd, hope the two of you can come up fishing for your honeymoon ( haha) Todd enjoyed our day out with you and Jeff, all the best my friend!! JT

Wow! What a great catch, especially for a beginner to the sport. Shasta looks impressed, what a great day we had catching trout on a sunny day!

Jeff! Let him run!!!!!!!!!!!!!!! Jeff Kinney here with a lunker on, just above Lamoine this run has produced all season. To all the other guides that view my site to get information, TAKE THEM TO UPPER LAMOINE BIG FISH! Be discrete and save a few for me!! (haha) Had a great time Jeff, look forward to seeing you in the Fall. JT

These pink flowers are called Elephant Ear Flowers. These first bloom in May and June and later they become the huge green plant we coin as Elephant Ears, because of it's huge drappy leaf that line all of our local rivers here in Siskiyou County.

**WELL FOLKS HOPE YOU ENJOYED MY ADVENTURES WITH JEFF, TODD AND BRAD BEST ON THE UPPER SAC. SEE YOU SOON ON ALL THE OTHER NORTH STATE RIVERS, UNTIL THEN ADIOS AMIGOS! JACK TROUT
