February 25th, 2002 **AWESOME PATAGONIA CHILE** Torres Del Paine: This is a shot taken at Torres Del Paine, the tower of crags. What an amazing place to be. This is located in the south and can compliment anyones trip down to the Patagonia. One of my favorite Chilean beers is called Austral and this is on their logo. This is what the Andes is all about, these kind of scenes are not uncommon everywhere you go. I think in ones lifetime, all should experience a trip into the wonderful region called Austral, or commonly known as Patagonia, Chile. Jim with Nico & Me floating the Simpson!: This is Jim, Nico and Me out in our driftboat pulling in a lunker! I¥m proud to say Jim is in his 80¥s out and about with his two guides on the Simpson River. Jim is a real kick in the pants and nightly we enjoy a bottle of good Chilean wine here at the Pasarela Lodge, of course that¥s accompanied by great food and high spirits. Jim with Nico & Me with a lunker!: Jim has been coming to Chile for over 25 years and will continue to come as long as he keeps catching Brown Trout like these. He had a great day and brought in 18 trout, This guy can fish! I think it¥s because He looks a little like Santa Claus, what do you think? Ok an older George Carlin, I got it,! Colonel Sanders.......? Patty on Valentines Day!: This is Patty, she works at the Pasarela Lodge and will be serving you breakfast each morning before we take you out. She looks forward to meeting you and hopes you have a pleasant trip here in the Patagonia! This picture was taken on Valentines Day, yes they celebrate it here too. Nico holding a nice brown: This is the top fly fishing guide in the Patagonia and I just so happen have the opportunity to have him work with me! Nico and I have been working together for 7 years and this is our best season together ever! We look forward to working with you next year. Stay tuned for more action, JT Bruce and the Lagoonas: Chile has massive storms, destructive storms that cause great floods and uncontrollable river conditions. One thing that happens every year during these roaring winters is trout get land locked in these small pond like areas called lagoonas. We find these lagoonas and catch trout up to 8lbs. They grow quickly cause they haven¥t any current to fight and just cruise and eat all day long on hoppers and damsil flys. This is realatively small by lagoona standards but it¥s still a nice 15"er that our friend Bruce caught earlier this year.
