Sunday, March 3rd, 2002 **COAST OF CHILE, VINA DEL MAR** Smoothies Hut ReÒaca: The sounds of ocean waves crashing mixed with the scenes of people enjoying themselves on a hot blustery day on the coast of Chile. Children playing in the sand while the adults have a moment of rest. The beach does their baby sitting providing the kids with natural entertainment. Enjoying a summer drink in the sun and listening to music familar to me. It just doesn¥t get better than this! JT Margarita: Plenty of outside dining here in Vina creates a great atmosphere. Since most these places stay open til 1 or 2am in the morning, it¥s hard to find time to sleep, Maybe on the beach? Prices for food here are cheap, you can get a full course meal with drinks and appetizer for around $8 dollars U.S., some places even less. Ice Cream: Finally, my favorite part the food! This is an ice cream place and boy is their ice cream here good. They use real cream made the old fashion way, and when I say, "made the old fashion way, I mean it"! I can¥t get enough of this stuff, don¥t come here to diet there¥s no avoiding these great delectables! Lodging: Here¥s just one of the places we have to offer you, located within walking distance to the beach, you can see how comfortable the accommodations are here in Chile. They have a fine restaraunt that serves fantasic meals also. Pool or beach which would you choose? that might be your hardest decision of the day! Blake and Andreas: While I was enjoying a drink at the smoothie hut I ran into two guys from California, Blake and Andreas. Andreas¥s mother use to live in the area and turned her son onto the place. It was amazing to see two guys from Northern Cal, cause most of the time theres not alot of tourist down here from back home unless there with me. We enjoyed the beauty contest and Andreas let me know how he used to worked on the Chico based fire team for Northern Cal. Take care guys! Andreas and great views: Hey everyone! Stay tuned for more stories from Vina Del Mar, I¥ll be updating this site daily. I¥m five hours ahead of the west coast of California and 2 hours ahead of New York, so wake up and enjoy a new story daily. Keep the emails up, had 57 yesterday returned everyones messages. We¥ll got to head to the beach, until then, Take care Sizzlers! Jack Trout email me here in Chile troutjack@hotmail.com Wolf Castle and Valpraiso in the background:
