Saturday, February 2nd, 2002 **GREETINGS FROM PATAGONIA**
Water, the essence of life, we can see so many things to do in it.
One may fish but of course, it could be seen as a place to have a picnic along it¥s bank. Kids may want to swim in it, others may pan for gold. When we see water it is calming in it¥s flow, thus it is the meaning of our existence. We begin and end in water, and the start and the finish of a river is never definite, so is our lives outside and within. The river is my life and I share it with you

I¥d like to introduce my head guide in Patagonia Chile, everyone lets hear a warm Sizzler applaud for Nicolaus Gonzales. He guided
Mark Buell into this lovely McCloud River Rainbow in the Simpson Canyon. He has a very outgoing personality and loves what he does.
He knows every square inch of the Patagonia and looks forward to guiding you someday. I have worked with Nicolaus now for 8 years,
and it just keeps getting better!!
Pat Patterson here setting the fly on a nice canyon sipper! Pat enjoyed catching many on this day just walking up the edges, just using a humpy size 14. On this day the trout were only feeding about a foot off shore!
Pat caught so many he took a rest and I gave it a try. Not to brag but first cast, fish on!! I love this place it reminds me of the South American version of the Uppper Sacramento River, with McCloud River Rainbows I might add...
Back to the hopper river, here¥s Mark with a lovely Brown Trout. Mark showed up a beginner and left a winner, this makes him my Sizzler of the week!!! right on Mark, you can come back next year to claim your prize, here in fly fishing¥s final frontier, Patagonia Chile. Until next story, I¥ll see all of you then take care, Jack Trout
